4-24-24   THOUGHTS    

The recording of “the life and works” of our Savior Jesus Christ, was/is fundamental to our faith.  Faith comes from hearing the word of God.  John 20:30-31    Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; 31  but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.    Two wonderful miracles are related below.  That the news spread is significant!  Someone needed to tell the good news!  It wasn’t by design or program, or even command that it spread.  IT WAS NEWS THAT HAD TO BE TOLD!

Matt 9:18-26    While He was saying these things to them, a synagogue official came and bowed down before Him, and said, "My daughter has just died; but come and lay Your hand on her, and she will live." 19  Jesus got up and began to follow him, and so did His disciples. 20  And a woman who had been suffering from a hemorrhage for twelve years, came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His cloak; 21  for she was saying to herself, "If I only touch His garment, I will get well." 22  But Jesus turning and seeing her said, "Daughter, take courage; your faith has made you well." At once the woman was made well. 23  When Jesus came into the official’s house, and saw the flute-players and the crowd in noisy disorder, 24  He said, "Leave; for the girl has not died, but is asleep." And they began laughing at Him. 25  But when the crowd had been sent out, He entered and took her by the hand, and the girl got up. 26  This news spread throughout all that land.

My Prayer:
Praise be to the God of all eternity.  Lord, make us instruments of Your peace.  To those who cannot care for themselves, and to those who do not know The Christ, may we diligently supply Jesus as the answer and power for the solution!  May our hands and lips not fail through paltry efforts or poor skills from our failures to pursue a learning of You.  Let us know, let us press on to know You.   Lord, heal this land, and use us as jars of clay, to help.  Lord help us in our helping.  May Your love be our love.    In the name of Jesus,   Amen.
